Project Coordinators

The work of a Construction Project Coordinator is wide-ranging. Construction Coordinators work closely with project planners and schedulers at client’s facility. He/she is responsible for reviewing plans, estimates, and schedules to ensure all project goals are met. He/she also assists in the  creation of project schedules and work with client’s subcontractors to assure the work is done properly and on time. He/she works very closely with a Construction/TAR Manager, who will meet regularly with all of the parties involved, including subcontractors, to provide status updates and answer questions. Depending on the aspects involved with the project, the CPC may need to spend more than 40 hrs. per week at the site and limited travel may be required. Position requires ability to work in conjunction with union and non-union craft.

Planners

The Construction Planner interfaces with the client, providing scheduling management services, including but not limited to schedule development, WBS development, progress reporting, schedule updating and analysis, earned value and field progress tracking. 

  • Works closely with schedulers, project managers and customer to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules of construction projects using Primavera P6 scheduling software. 

  • Maintains weekly progress using summary level schedule reports.

  • Gathers and analyzes information to assist in publishing reports on the progress of projects such as Earned Value Management.

  • Frequent job walks to review construction progress required.

  • Supports the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects. 

  • Works in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.

  • Troubleshoots and monitors potential scheduling problems.

  • Maintains accurate records/paperwork.

  • Participates in weekly schedule and progress reviews.

Schedulers

The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, updating and coordinating project schedules. Creates resource usage model and predictions. Works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules. The Project Scheduler will participate in a cross functional team environment in development and oversight of development- and construction related project schedules. As a highly motivated individual with very good organization, technical, and communication skills, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver superior service.

Engineers

A Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. The Project Engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.

  • Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team.

  • Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.

  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.

  • Cooperating and communicating with the Project Manager and other project participants and collaborating with Senior Engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.

  • Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.

  • Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.

  • Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.

  • Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.

  • Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
